Abstract submission

Abstract submission deadline has been extended to April 15th, 2009 !

To ensure consistency in formatting all abstracts are to be submitted in Microsoft Word format using the abstract template which is available both on the conference website and on the abstract submission link below.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ABSTRACTS


All abstracts must be prepared according to the following instructions. Abstracts which do not comply with the guidelines listed below will be returned directly to the authors for correction before they can enter the reviewing process.


1. The abstract must be written in English and should be checked by a native English speaker.


2. Maximum length of your abstract text: 1 page A4 in Word, body of the text: Times New Roman 12 pt.


3. The title should be short and informative. It should be written in bold letters, with a font size of 12 pt. Leave a blank line between the author(s) and the name(s) of the institution(s).


4. Please underline the name of the presenting author.


5. The abstract should be as substantial and concise as possible: please use title as shown in the template with: Introduction, aims, methods, results, conclusions.

Please be aware that the committee will simply shorten abstracts, which exceed 1 page A4 .

You will be required to upload your Abstract on the abstract submission link below. A confirmation email indicating a successful upload will be automatically sent to the email address you have indicated on the first page of this submission form.

 

Please note that the cut off date for abstract submission is March 31, 2009 April 15th, 2009

Special issue TIAFT 2009

Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you to contribute to a special issue on ‘Forensic toxicology’ in the context of the TIAFT 2009. The special issue will appear in Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry (www.springer.com/abc). Manuscripts need to be full research papers and present original, unpublished work focussing on analytical and bioanalytical themes presented at the conference. All contributions will undergo the usual peer reviewing process by independent referees. The journal's instructions for authors can be found on the ABC homepage at www.springer.com/abc.

Manuscript submission deadline will be September 30, 2009. When submitting the manuscript online at mc.manuscriptcentral.com/abc please indicate that the paper is a contribution for the special issue “TIAFT 2009”.

Please let us know whether you are interested in submitting new results of your work as a manuscript to the special issue. There is now an article type "Special Issue: TIAFT 2009" available for authors who will be submitting to the journal "Forensic Science International". We would like to inform you that the submission process is also the same with regular papers; however, authors will be required to select the Article Type "Special Issue: TIAFT 2009" for contributions to The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists Conference, Geneva 2009.

When submitting a manuscript to this journal, please go to ees.elsevier.com/fsi/ and click on the 'Log in' button. Enter your username and password combination that the system has provided for you. After entering your information, kindly ensure that you click on the 'Author Login' button. Once you have logged in to the system, you will be brought to the 'Author Main Menu'. To submit a new manuscript, you should click on the 'Submit New Manuscript' link.

Complete all the necessary steps of the submission process and at the last step 'Attach Files', please upload your manuscript (in an editable format -Word .doc or Latex .Tex), figures and tables. Once all the submissions steps are completed a PDF file will be generated in the system, and the authors will be prompted to edit/approve this submission. Upon approval the PDF will be sent to the Editorial Office for review.

Manuscript will be considered for publication until August 21 at 24.00 (GMT). No late submission will be considered.
